About This Treatment
What to Expect
What Is Micro Needling?
Micro needling uses a precision device fitted with very fine, sterile needles to create controlled micro-channels in the skin. This triggers the skin's natural wound-healing process, stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin — the proteins responsible for firm, smooth, youthful-looking skin.
The treatment is suitable for most skin types and can be performed on the face, neck, décolletage, and other areas of the body.
What Can Micro Needling Treat?
- Acne scars and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
- Fine lines and early wrinkles
- Uneven skin texture and enlarged pores
- Stretch marks and surgical scars
- Skin laxity and loss of firmness
- Dull, tired-looking skin
- Sun damage and uneven skin tone
Your Treatment Experience
A topical anaesthetic cream is applied 30–45 minutes before treatment to ensure your comfort. The procedure itself takes 30–60 minutes depending on the area treated.
Following treatment, you can expect redness and mild sensitivity similar to a light sunburn for 24–48 hours, after which the skin settles and begins its regeneration process. Full aftercare instructions are provided.
Results
Skin will appear refreshed and more radiant within the first 1–2 weeks as initial healing completes. The true collagen-building effect develops over the following 4–8 weeks, with optimal results visible after a course of 3–6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart.
Many clients choose to maintain their results with periodic top-up sessions every 3–6 months.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
A topical anaesthetic cream is applied before treatment to minimise discomfort. Most clients describe the sensation as a mild tingling or warmth during the procedure. The comfort level varies by skin area.
For surface concerns such as general texture and dullness, 1–3 sessions may be sufficient. For acne scarring or more significant concerns, a course of 4–6 sessions is typically recommended. Your practitioner will advise based on your skin.
Redness and mild sensitivity are normal for 24–48 hours after treatment. Most clients find they can return to normal activities within 24 hours, using SPF and gentle skincare. We advise avoiding makeup for 24 hours post-treatment.
Micro needling is generally safe across all skin tones when performed by an experienced practitioner. We take precautions and use appropriate settings for darker skin tones to minimise any risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Yes. Micro needling can be combined with topical serums applied during treatment (such as hyaluronic acid or growth factor serums) to enhance results. It can also be part of a broader skin treatment plan alongside skin boosters or other treatments.
